TSAOCAA Online Ordering App
An online ordering app providing customers the ability to order drinks/food ahead of time.
Duration: Sept 2023
Role: Designer
Project Type: Self-Passion Project
Defining the Problem
The Tsaocaa line is consistently long, leading to extended wait times, particularly troublesome for busy college students. Many become frustrated and leave without making a purchase, resulting in reduced company profits. Additionally, the rapid influx of orders without advance notice or preparation time exhausts and frustrates employees.
Defining the Solution/Goal
Creating an app for students to pre-order boba and food, ensuring their orders are ready upon arrival, optimizing employee preparation time with advance notice.
Journey Mapping
Ideation & Low-Fidelity Prototyping
To ideate my original sketches, I began by writing down the original customer pain points and problem at hand. I proceeded by prioritizing element placement and screen composition to finalize the best structure for the app for easy navigation and accessibility.
Mid-Fidelity Prototyping
After finalizing the wireframes, I transitioned to mid-fidelity prototypes and began incorporating new designs and elements for a nicer visual appeal. I designed multiple iterations at a basic level to allow time to gather valuable feedback during the user testing stage of my project in order to analyze how users interacted with the product and conclude what improvements and changes I would need to design.
User Testing/ Feedback
Using our mid-fidelity prototypes, I conducted user testing to analyze what improvements needed to be made for the purpose of easier accessibility and navigation.
